The oral consultation is the foundation of safe and effective dental care because an accurate diagnosis leads to successful treatment. At Whiskers Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery, we perform a physical examination of your pet from nose to tail with particular attention to the mouth. We will take photographs to aid in communication of abnormalities that need to be addressed and go over these findings to help you make a decision you are comfortable with. During this visit, we will also determine anesthetic risk, make recommendations for appropriate pre-anesthetic testing, go over expected costs, and schedule the next visit where we will more fully assess the mouth and provide the needed treatment under general anesthesia.
